Meet the Team
Carey Steinriede, CPA
Carey graduated from Marietta College in 2017 with a bachelor of arts degree in education and a minor in accounting. She spent one year teaching high school math before joining the firm in 2018. Carey is currently completing her Masters of Accountancy degree at Xavier University. In her free time, Carey enjoys playing tennis and running.
Jen Sims
Jen graduated from Miami University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She began her professional career at Ernst & Young, where she built a strong foundation in audit and financial services.
With more than 30 years of experience in accounting, Jen brings deep expertise across a broad range of industries and financial environments. Her background includes 10 years dedicated to nonprofit work, where she has applied her financial leadership and strategic insight to support mission-driven organizations.
Michelle Schultz
Michelle graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and real estate. She started her professional career in Internal Audit at Fifth Third Bank, and was then a 401(k) Retirement Plan Specialist with Union Central Insurance. Michelle has also served as the Director of Accounting for SynFiny Advisors for the past five years.
Michelle enjoys reading and spending time with her son and two daughters at their home in Mason.
Jean Andre
Jean started with our firm in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, and started her career at KPMG Peat Marwick in Dallas, Texas. Jean has over 25 years of experience in public and private accounting and works with our privately-held business clients, handling all aspects of financial statement preparation.
Jean lives in Madeira with her husband Bill and children Will, Ellie and Shelby.
Amy Woolson
Amy graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and started her career with Ernst & Young in Nashville. She has filled multiple roles with both public and private companies and has experience in auditing, financial accounting and financial analysis. Prior to joining Jutze Kopfler & Associates in 2019, Amy owned a small business for 7 years.
Amy and her husband Kevin reside in Mason with their children Charlie and Molly. In her spare time, Amy enjoys traveling and reading.
Mary Lakes
Mary graduated from Miami University with a degree in Organizational Behavior and Marketing. After graduation, Mary worked for Dillards as an Area Sales Manager for 5 years and then at American Homeland Title Agency as the Funding Manger for 16 years. Mary and her husband Keith live in Fairfield Township with their son, Camden. In her free time Mary is a volunteer for Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority currently serving on National Council as the Vice President Finance.
Jennifer Notton
Jennifer has been with us since 2015. She has a degree in Management and Marketing from the University of CIncinnati, and managed a retail store in the Kenwood Towne Center, Papyrus, for 17 years. Jennifer handles all aspects of office management including billing, accounts receivable and scheduling.
Jennifer lives in Mason with her husband Dave. They are the proud parents of two adult children - Alex, an engineer, and Annie, a nurse.
